Counsellor

Anita Cottle

Anita is a certified counsellor who works with children, young people, and adults. She specialises in supporting clients aged 8 and above, offering a warm, compassionate, and personalised approach to therapy. Anita creates a safe and grounded space where individuals feel heard, understood, and valued at every stage of life.

Using an integrative counselling model, Anita tailors her approach to the unique needs of each person. She blends a range of therapeutic techniques and, when helpful, incorporates creative methods such as art and play to support emotional expression and exploration.

As an attachment-focused therapist, Anita places strong emphasis on strengthening bonds—both within the therapeutic relationship and in her clients’ most important relationships outside the therapy room. She views secure connection as the foundation for healing and meaningful change, and this principle guides her work with children, adolescents, and adults alike.

Anita has experience supporting clients through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, self-harm, grief, loss, and low self-esteem. She also has extensive experience working with neurodiverse clients and adapts her approach to honour each individual’s strengths, communication style, and needs.

Committed to empowerment and growth, Anita supports clients in deepening self-understanding, developing healthier coping strategies, and building confidence in their ability to navigate life’s difficulties—at any age.
