Anita is a certified child counsellor who specialises in supporting children and young people aged 8 to 21. She offers a warm, compassionate, and personalised approach to therapy, creating a safe space where young people feel heard, understood, and valued.
Using an integrative counselling model, Anita tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. She blends a range of therapeutic techniques and incorporates creative methods such as art and play, helping young minds explore and express complex emotions in ways that feel natural and accessible.
With a strong grounding in attachment-focused practices, Anita prioritises building a trusting therapeutic relationship, which she sees as the foundation for meaningful change. She has experience helping young clients work through a variety of challenges, including anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, self-harm, grief, loss, and low self-esteem. Anita also has experience supporting neurodiverse clients and takes care to adapt her work to best support each person’s strengths and needs.
Anita is committed to empowering young people to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping strategies, and build confidence in their ability to navigate life’s difficulties.
My daughter looks forward to these sessions every week with no complaints. We've also seen a tremendous improvement in her mood since we've started the sessions.
